Halifax = ‘Holy Face’

I just read on some website (and remember kids, all websites are reliable sources of valid and true information) that the name Halifax can be broken up to mean ‘Holy Face’ in some other language.  And it’s called this because APPARENTLY the head of John the Baptist is buried there.  WHOA!

True or not, tell your friends.

Speaking of your friends, they may just happen to be on the Sr.high Mission team heading out to Halifax tomorrow morning for a week of ‘Urban Ministry’.  If so, and even if you don’t know any of the team, please be praying for us.

We are going into inner city Halifax to serve at a bunch of different places and really just try to pour out love on people that otherwise may not receive it.  We will be serving the homeless, poverty-stricken people of Halifax in hopes of them seeing Jesus’ love in our actions.  Should be a great time and we know God’s going to do great things this week, so again, please just be praying for us.

thanks.
